We offer business consulting services primarily in the healthcare space. We are focused on strategic planning and organizational/Medical Staff development as the healthcare delivery system continues to transform to value-based reimbursement. We can work independently, or alongside internal teams to develop strategy as well as execute various initiatives to achieve results on time and on budget.

In the rapidly changing healthcare environment, payers are asking providers to shift from volume-based care (fee for service) to a value-based reimbursement structure (fee for value). Value-based reimbursement encourages healthcare providers to deliver the best care at the lowest cost.

 

Strategic Planning

Experience tells us the more rapidly an environment is changing the more critical the need for effective strategic planning.  In addition, designing a medical delivery system that works effectively for a community and shows true sustainability in this new environment will require involvement of many stakeholders and partners not previously included in traditional healthcare strategic planning.

We offer review of organization mission, philosophy, and culture encompassing stakeholders such as the facility, medical staff and community. This review includes an audit and assessment of the external and internal environments, evaluation of competitive position and identification of sustainable competitive advantage, presentation of strategy alternatives, selection of the best alternatives, assistance with gaining acceptance, and planning support for strategy implementation.

Organizational staff development

What are the skills required to be successful in today’s Wellness Based healthcare environment?  The legacy fee-for-service system has traditionally been procedure-based and volume-based.  Having the right procedures and volume at one’s hospital ensured success.  Wellness Based healthcare will demand true clinical integration. 

This encompasses the full spectrum of the provider system including the community in which the patient lives. Development of leaders within the Board, Administration, Medical Staff, and community will be critical.  The ability to function as part of a team will be paramount.  We help with identification of, commitment to, and development of those skills sets required for success.
